Axis (“Axis”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a regulatory intelligence platform used by enterprise customers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Axis mobile applications (iOS and Android) and related services (together, the “App”).

The App is intended for authorized enterprise users only. If your organization has a separate agreement with Axis, that agreement may govern our use of information in addition to this Privacy Policy.

2. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• Your use of the Axis mobile apps for iOS and Android; and
• Any support or communications you have with us through the App.

It does not apply to third-party websites or services that may be linked from the App.

We collect the following categories of information when you use the App. In many cases, the data is provided by your organization or by you directly.

3.1 Account and profile information

• Name
• Business email address
• Organization name and role
• Login credentials (such as username and hashed password)

Your organization may create or manage your account on your behalf.

3.2 Usage and activity information

When you use the App, we may collect information about how you interact with it, for example:

• Screens and pages viewed
• Search queries and filters used
• Items you open, bookmark, or annotate
• Timestamps of actions and sessions

This helps us operate the service, troubleshoot issues, and improve the product.

3.3 Device and technical information

We may collect limited device and technical data, such as:

• Device type, operating system and version (iOS or Android)
• App version
• IP address and approximate region
• Device identifiers (for example, an app-specific ID)
• Log information (errors, crashes, performance data)

We use this to keep the service secure and reliable.

If you contact us through the App or by email (for example, to report a problem or request support), we collect the information you provide and any related correspondence.

3.5 Cookies and analytics
The Axis website (axis.xyz) uses limited cookies and similar technologies necessary for basic site functionality and security. The Axis App may use in-app analytics and logging tools to understand usage patterns, monitor performance, and diagnose errors. We do not use cookies or analytics for advertising or cross-site tracking.

4. How we use your information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

1. To provide and maintain the App and services
   • Authenticate you and manage your account
   • Deliver content, search results, and personalized views based on your permissions and organization

We rely on legitimate interests, performance of our contract with your organization, and compliance with legal obligations as the primary legal bases for processing personal data, as applicable in your jurisdiction.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Within Axis: With employees and contractors who need access to perform their job and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• With service providers: With trusted third-party vendors that provide infrastructure, hosting, analytics, logging, or customer support tools. These providers may process personal data on our behalf and are bound by data-processing agreements.
• With your organization: With authorized administrators at your company who manage your Axis subscription and user access.
• For legal reasons: Where we are required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Axis, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: In connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. International data transfers

Axis may process and store information on servers located in countries other than your own. Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as:

• Your organization maintains an active subscription to Axis;
• You have an active user account; and
• It is necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.

We may retain log and audit data for longer periods where required for security, compliance, or legal purposes.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
• Access controls and authentication for staff and systems
• Regular monitoring and logging
• Data backups and disaster-recovery processes

No system can be completely secure, but we work to protect information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights over your personal data, such as:

• Portability of your data
• Lodging a complaint with a data protection authority

Residents of California may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, used, or disclosed, and the right to request deletion of personal information. Axis does not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA.

10. Children’s privacy

The Axis App is intended for business and professional users only and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. In some cases we may provide additional notice (for example, via the App or by email).
